The Mysterious Garden

Behind old Mr. Wilson’s house stood a mysterious garden surrounded by tall brick walls. Nobody in the neighborhood had ever been inside, but children often tried to peek through the rusty iron gate. One day, twelve-year-old Lucy noticed the gate was slightly open. As she carefully pushed it, the hinges creaked loudly. Inside, she discovered the most amazing sight – hundreds of butterflies in every color imaginable were flying among beautiful flowers. There were roses as tall as trees and fountains that sparkled in the sunlight. In the center of the garden stood a small cottage covered in ivy. Mr. Wilson emerged from the cottage with a friendly smile and invited Lucy to have tea. He explained that he was a butterfly scientist who had created this special garden as a sanctuary for rare butterflies. From that day on, Lucy became Mr. Wilson’s helper, learning all about these delicate creatures.
